East Bay Chess Club presents
Homework and Chess! |
|
What is it?
- Homework and Chess is a new program offered only by East Bay Chess that includes both the benefits of supervised study time and chess instruction. Sessions are run Monday through Thursday from 3:30-6 PM, during which students are welcome to use any of the resources available at the East Bay Chess Club. Experienced staff members are on hand at all times to provide assistance and keep students on track with their homework. Once finished with their homework, students keep their minds developing by learning how to play chess. (On Fridays, we offer an intermediate class in lieu of Homework & Chess; For teenagers and adults, we offer a introduction to chess called Chess 101!)
- Our facilities include a quiet, friendly environment in which students can study and ample space for academic and chess activities to take place in different rooms
How do I sign up?
- Our program is designed to be small to provide better educational opportunities to our students, and so space is limited to 10 students per weekday
- Spaces can be reserved for one or more specific days in 4, 8, or 12 week intervals
- The cost for 2.5 hours of supervised study and chess instruction is only $15 a day, so sign up now!
- Please contact us by phone at (510) 845-1041 or by email at tutor@eastbaychess.com to ask for more information or enroll your child in our program.
